trefor.net VoIP Network Monitoring tools, beer and curry
trefor.net technical workshops provide in depth coverage of technical subjects of interest to the networking and VoIP communities in the UK. At our February workshop we are talking about VoIP network monitoring tools. Although some of the presenters represent comercial organisations no sales talks are allowed.
As the Internet Telephony industry grows to be the dominant provider of telephony and communications services in the UK it becomes increasingly important for ITSPs to have a strong handle on what’s going on in their networks. A variety of both paid for and open source tools are available to help you do this.
This workshop is a forum for engineers to discuss the tools they use and swap notes with their peers in the industry. Find out what others are doing and learn about any issues they encounter in doing so. The numbers are kept to around 30 attendees in order to make sure everyone gets the opportunity to engage with others in the meeting.
I expect the workshop to last two hours and we will then adjourn to a local hostelry for beers before going for a curry. This is a free workshop. The beer and curry is also free thanks to the generous sponsorship of Oracle and Netaxis.
Current speaker line up includes someone from Oracle, Raphael Benedet from Netaxis, Adrian Levin from Zen Internet (VoIP Monitor user), Catalin Dominte (Stablenet user) plus one or two others tbc. If you are interested in speaking by all means let me know.
In the meantime secure your place by registering on this page.
See you on the 21st February.
