Trek Mount Snowdon with Radio Dawn
Join the team on their Snowdon Hike Fundraiser in Wales to support Radio Dawn! You have the chance to conquer one of the UK’s national peaks, whether it’s your first time or an experienced trekker.
The day promises to be filled with adventure and camaraderie as you tackle Snowdon’s rugged trail. 1000's attempt the challenge every year so it is open to anyone. Get ready to challenge yourself and enjoy breathtaking views along the way. This in-person event is a great opportunity to connect with nature and meet fellow outdoor enthusiasts and make new friends. Don't miss out on this exciting experience - lace up your boots and let's conquer the mountain together!
By joining, you’re not just challenging yourself physically—you’re becoming part of a movement to to help raise much needed funds to help sustain Radio Station and to develop high-quality shows. Helping share the beautiful and peaceful message of the blessed Qur'an with all of humanity.
A family friendly event (male and female) for people of all ages. Under 18's will need a parent or guardian to accompany them. We will use the Llanberis Path, known to be the easiest path with scenic views. Transport is included.

Meeting Point: Bobbersmill Community Centre, Nottingham, NG7 5JU
Transport is provided from the above meeting point.
What To Bring
Appropriate Clothing: Dress in layers to accommodate changing weather conditions. Make sure you have a waterproof jacket, warm layers, a hat, and gloves.
Footwear: Sturdy and comfortable hiking boots with good ankle support are essential.
Backpack: Bring a small backpack to carry essentials such as water, snacks, a first-aid kit, and any personal items you may need.
Lunch, Food and Water: We plan to take small interval breaks and lunch break during the trek at the summit. Please bring your your own food and 2L water bottle to stay hydrated.
Safety and Preparedness: Ensure you are fit to climb and if you have concerns speak to your local GP. Participants will be responsible for their own safety.
Weather: Keep an eye on the weather forecast for Snowdon and come prepared for various weather conditions.
Fitness: Ensure that you are physically prepared for the trek by engaging in regular physical activity and training. Many people tackle Snowdon so it is open all, do not under estimate the challenge - it is one of the national 3 peaks.
Emergency Contact: Share your itinerary and emergency contact details with a trusted friend or family member.
Walk Details: You can expect to be walking anywhere upto 6 hours total. You'll be summiting Snowdon which is 1085m above sea level.
Environmental Responsibility:
Respect the natural beauty of Mount Snowdon. Do not litter, stay on designated paths, and be mindful of the environment.
Fundraising:
How much do I need to fundraise: There is a £150 recommended minimum fundraising amount for tis trek. The cost of signing up for a trek is £35 this will cover event management expenses such as the Transport. The amount that you raise will go directly to Radio Dawn.
