Event description

Description

Retrak premieres the first ever cycle event - launched by former street children - on Sunday 3 September. The UK'sTri-County back-to-school Bikeathon skids off from Buxton in Derbryshire and will feature a unique announcement from street children in Uganda 6,400 miles away!

This 25-mile sponsored cycle (a shorter route is available for 10-13 years olds) follows an exhilarating track around three counties through Derbyshire, Cheshire and Staffordshire. There are incredible views of the Peak District landscape, mountains and forests too via an exciting tried-and-tested track. Take it at your own pace, make new friends, complete the distance to take part in a prize draw at the end.

'Retrak's street children want to help you help Retrak; skyping with you on the day is their way of getting right behind you!' Sir Peter Fahy, Retrak's CEO.

All cyclists to donate a minimum £10 to register and have a fundraising target of £70. Scout leaders can register for entire scout groups.*

Funds raised go directly to Retrak who support vulnerable children forced to sleep on the streets across East Africa and Brazil. Once registered a pack will be sent to you.

*Under 18s must be accompanied (either indvidually or as a group). All participants or guardians will be required to register and sign a disclaimer before set off.
