Witness statements, and general advicePlease take note of the following details:
If you cannot attend, please let us know:
If you’re unable to attend, kindly inform us in advance so we can offer your spot to another parent. If we don't hear from you, we may need to refuse your attendance at future sessions.
Please do not bring children:
We kindly ask that you do not bring children to this session. It’s important to minimize distractions to ensure everyone can focus and receive the support they need.
Bring all relevant paperwork:
Please bring all documents related to your appeal, including EHCP papers, decision letters from the Local Authority, evidence, and anything else you wish to discuss. This will allow us to provide the most tailored advice.
Support persons are welcome:
If you need someone with you for support, or they’re helping with your appeal, you are welcome to bring them. Due to space limitations, we can only accommodate one person for support.
Parking information:
We do not have parking on-site. Please make parking arrangements in advance. If you have a disabled blue badge, inform us ahead of time so we can reserve a space for you in our staff car park.
Be prepared to wait:
As the drop-in sessions are tailored to each individual, there may be a wait before your turn. Feel free to enjoy the tea and coffee provided, and chat with other parents who are going through similar appeals. This can be a valuable time for peer support.
Final note:
Our goal is to empower you to advocate effectively for your child’s needs. Please note, we cannot guarantee the outcome of your appeal as we are an independent, impartial service with no influence over the Local Authority’s decisions.
