TriForce Productions Present: Sorry, I Didn’t Know…
History, with a touch of colour…
We're very excited that ‘Sorry, I Didn’t Know…’ the comedy panel show about Black history is returning this year for season 3!
TriForce needs YOU!
We’ll be filming the show at Riverside Studios in Hammersmith Sun 12th June - Tues 14th June and once more this year there are FIVE shows.
The show is a hilarious comedy panel show, unearthing everything you didn’t know about black history. We’ve all heard of Mary Seacole and Martin Luther King, but did you know that the first self-made female millionaire was black? Or that the inspiration for the character Monostatos in Mozart’s The Magic Flute’ was black classical composer Joseph Bologne?
We’ve got an amazing panel lined up for the show, including our host Jimmy Akingbola, the lovely Chizzy Akudolu and guest appearances from the likes of White Yardie, our favourite Chaser Shaun Wallace, Russell Kane and Verona Rose.
Tickets are FREE!
We will continue to have some Covid protocols in place, just to keep everyone as safe as possible.
Our audience will be seated cabaret style, although this year you don't need to book as a group, and seats will be allocated on a first come, first served basis as you enter the studio, so you may be sat near other people. We'll also be conducting temperature checks on the way in and ask you to fill in a health declaration form when you book and once you get to the studio. You can wear a mask in the studio if you wish, but this year we won't be requiring people to wear a face covering.
The venue is large and airy, with plenty of handwashing facilities and sanitiser stations. Each show recording will last approx 2 hours and we'll ask you to arrive early so that we can conduct checks and make sure everyone is as safe as possible.
On Sunday there will be one show in the evening and Monday and Tuesday we'll be recording one show in the afternoon and one show in the evening. If you'd like to come to more than one show you're very welcome!
We do ask that you only book if you're sure you can come. Obviously, emergencies can occur but please do come if you've booked, or let us know on info@thetcn.com if you can no longer attend.
Any questions?
Where is it and what time do I need to get there?
We’re filming in Studio 1 at Riverside Studios in Hammersmith. The address is: 101 Queen Caroline Street, Hammersmith, London W6 9BN.
Come into the main foyer and you will see signs directing you where to go. You need to arrive at 12.30pm if you're coming to the afternoon show and 4.30pm if you're coming to the evening show. This will give us enough time to conduct health and security checks. Once you've been checked you will be able to wander around the foyer and cafe area (maybe get a snack or a drink if you're super early!) before being called back in over the tannoy to come into the studio. The afternoon shows will finish by 4.30pm and the evening shows will finish by 8.30pm.
How do I get tickets and how much are they?
Just register for tickets. Tickets are FREE!
How many tickets can I book?
You can book a maximum of 6 tickets. We will endeavour to seat groups who have booked together at the same table, but you may be split up into smaller groups so we can fit everyone in.
What if I book a ticket but can’t make it?
If you can no longer make it after registering, please cancel your ticket on Eventbrite. It’s important we have a full audience for the show, so we’d really appreciate it if you could free up your space if you can no longer make it.
What do I need to bring?
Please bring a form of photo ID with you – a passport or driving licence or even a student card. You might also want to bring a bottle of water (no other drinks will be allowed in the studio). We will be providing masks for the audience if you want one but you are also welcome to bring your own face covering if you prefer.
I have access requirements – is the studio fully accessible?
The studio is fully accessible to wheelchairs and there is a hearing induction loop for those with hearing aids. We do ask that you explain your access requirements when registering (there’s a box to do that), just to make sure we're accommodating your needs.
What precautions are you taking to minimise the infection risk from Covid?
As we mentioned, we're working very hard to minimise the infection risk from Covid. Here are some of the things we're doing to make the event as safe as possible:
- A trained Covid Supervisor is on site at all times overseeing the event
- We're taking steps to minimise queuing outside the entrance
- We will ask you to complete a health declaration both when booking your ticket and when you arrive at the venue
- No-one who is currently testing positive for Covid will be allowed to attend
- Masks will be provided for the audience
- Hand sanitiser stations will be provided
- Our cabaret style seating means you'll be sat further apart than traditional raked seating.
We look forward to seeing you there and sharing this moment with you!
