The very first Leeds MonologueSlam UK will be taking place on FRIDAY 10TH APRIL at West Yorkshire Playhouse.

The auditions for Adult performers will be held in the rehearsal room 1 at West Yorkshire Playhouse on Saturday 7th March.

*If you are 11-16 years and wish to audition for the Youth Round, the auditions will be on Friday 6th March in the evening, please email info@triforcepromotions.co.uk to book your slot!*

MonologueSlam UK is the ultimate showcase for actors from all backgrounds and profiles. Following a lengthy audition process, 21 actors are given the opportunity to perform for a welcoming audience and a panel of people in a position to move their careers forward. An added element of competition raises the stakes for the chosen performers! With a Youth Round for 11-16 year olds, as well as the 1 Minute 'Smackdown' round and 3 Minute 'Heavyweight' Round for adult performers, MonologueSlam UK brings you the most exciting new UK talent!

There are three rounds in the competition:

The Youth Round - for 11-16 year old performers who perform a 1 Minute speech.

1 Minute 'Smackdown' Round - for performers aged 17 and up, bring your best 1 minute speech and 'smackdown' the competition!

3 Minute 'Heavyweight' Round - for more experienced performers aged 17 and up, both professional and up and coming, bring your 'heavyweight' experience with a 3 minute speech!

We audition performers in groups in hourly slots. The available slots are:

12:30 - 1.30

1.30 - 2.30

2.30 - 3.30

3.30 - 4.30

Please come to the audition prepared with a 1 Minute Monologue; whether you are auditioning for the 1 Min Round or the 3 Min Round. If you are applying for the 1 Minute Round this MUST be the monologue you will perform at the show and for those applying for the 3 minute round, a shortened version of your 3 minute monologue is required. A strict time limit will be observed during your audition.

Please make sure you arrive at least 15 mins before your allocated audition time.

Before booking your audition slot please ensure that you are free to attend the event on Friday 10th April. Successful actors will be needed from 4:00pm on the day of the show.

We recommend you familiarise yourself with the format of MonologueSlam before booking your audition, as you will need to decide whether to audition for the 1 Minute or 3 Minute Rounds.
