Pot trimming is an important next-step in the ceramic process and this is a great follow-on class if you have been to one of our taster wheel workshops.
Trimming/turning involves refining the shape and form of a piece after it has been thrown on the wheel. You will learn how to centre, level and trim the base of your pots. Practice using various tools to achieve the finish you want, add foot rings to your pots and refine the shape.
If you have booked one of our taster wheel throwing workshops, you are encouraged to keep these pots for the follow-on trimming class. We will provide small test pieces for you to practice on if you do not have any of your own pieces to work on.
