So, you've booked your Covid-19 test between 3rd and 9th December, your next step is to book your accommodation departure slot. To do this, simply click the 'Select a Date' button above; select the date and time you wish to depart; and please remember to press ‘submit’. Please note this is only for those residents who are being collected from their residence, allowing us to ensure we have a structured method of accommodating family and friends who are assisting with move out to comply with Covid-19 restrictions.
We have set out below some frequently asked questions, which we hope will help you.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to book if I am getting a train or flying home?
No, these booking slots are for students leaving by car only.
Are there any Covid-19 related safety rules & procedures?
Yes, we have strict rules in place that will enable you and fellow students to move out of our residences in a safe and socially distant manner. These are :
• Please only depart during your designated hour. If your lift arrives early they will be asked to leave and return to site during your designated time slot. If your lift arrives late they may be asked to leave until a time slot is available. This is to ensure we follow the government and University guidelines. We will of course endeavour accommodate where possible as we appreciate there is some areas outside of your control.
• We ask that you bring no more than two people to assist you moving your items. Once fully packed, we ask you and your guests leave site as soon as possible, ensuring that you lock your flat/bedroom door.
• All our staff have been trained in Covid-19 related health & safety procedures and will be ensuring the departure process is safe for staff, students and guests.
• Cleaning wipes and hand sanitizing stations will be available throughout the site.
• You and your guests will be allowed to use the lifts, however this should only be with those in your own 'bubble'. We ask that where possible, stairs are utilised to prevent congestion.
• A face covering must be worn at all times in stairwells and shared use areas.
When do I need to leave ?
Those residents who are returning home during the government’s travel corridor between 3rd and 9th December are asked to leave within 24 hours of completing an asymptomatic Covid-19 test which are available in Sport Central.
If your test presents a positive Covid-19 result you must follow University guidance https://covid.northumbria.ac.uk/christmas-travel-and--testing-guidance and delay your move for the designated isolation period. If this is the case, please contact the University welfare team to access the University's isolation support program.
If I don’t book a departure slot, do I need to inform Sodexo if I am leaving for Christmas?
Yes, we do ask that if you are leaving us via any mode of transport, that you let our reception teams know. This is important for your health and safety.
What if I get lonely while I am at home?
Please keep an eye on your residence’s Facebook page and @NorthumbriaConnected for up-to date information on the online events and welfare services Sodexo, the University and Students’ Union are providing over winter break.
Can I change my booking slot?
Yes, if you follow the link on the departure email, you can edit the time slot. If you have any issues please contact your specific residence.
What If I can't move out at any of the times / dates available?
Please do make every effort to move during your booked timeslot as we have staff on site to help out. If you can't move during these time then please don't worry. If you can email us at TrinitySquare.Education.UK@sodexo.com to let us know, and we will help find a way to get you back home safely.

What do I need to do to return to site in January?
We are awaiting further information from the UK Government and working hard to ensure we can welcome you back in a Covid safe manner. We will send any updates to you during the holiday period.
