Come and get creative with us at this True Colours LGBTQ+ Bookbinding Workshop.
No experience needed - we’ll guide you through the basics, from exploring the tools and materials to designing your own covers and stitching it all together.

This creative session is an introduction to the art of bookbinding.

Suitable for complete beginners, the workshop will cover essential techniques and materials, guiding you through each step to create your own handmade book.
By the end of the workshop, you will:

• Understand the tools and materials used in bookbinding.
• Create a personalised book cover.
• Learn and practise the coptic stitch binding technique.
• Assemble a complete, hand-bound book using your chosen papers.

• A welcoming, relaxed environment – no experience needed! 

• Learn how to create your own sketchbooks and artist books with guidance from our friendly team 
• All materials are provided 
• Open to anyone aged 16 and over 
• A great opportunity to connect with other LGBTQ+ individuals 
• Pay what you want. These sessions are for everyone, you are welcome to sign up for free or make a donation.
