Event description

Description

Join our panel of True talk speakers for an evening of inspiration, as they share their personal stories of life changing conditions and experiences, and how they have each found their light!

As they paint pictures of the stark realities that so many of us experience in our every day, listen to how they have coped, overcome, and recreated their lives to live in a brighter world, despite the mountains placed on their path.

We welcome you to share this evening of truth, reality laid bare, and take that spark of tenacity and brightness away with you so that you can pass that light on!

All speaker bios are shared in full below - topics including:

Cameron Murdoch

Cameron Murdoch

Having originally trained as a concert pianist, and using music as his voice, Cameron Murdoch at the age of 32 woke up after an operation to find himself paralysed from the neck down. The result of cancer and a subsequent stroke.

Through intense physio and determination he learned to walk again. But has been dealt many health blows since.

However, Cameron just continues to succeed, adapt and develop through life. Nothing stops him from achieving his dreams. He puts this down to his love of creativity, people, accepting vulnerability and seeing the beauty in fresh challenges. Life is for self discovery and learning.

Rachel Hanretty

Rachel Hanretty

Rachel believes you can achieve more with less, why?

Well, because as a teenager her epilepsy was so bad that surgeons operated to remove part of her brain.

But not only does she function highly, she has used her struggle with epilepsy to propel her forward and become the award winning business woman behind Mademoiselle Macaron. She’ll talk about how being vulnerable is what has made her stronger and helped her find her truth.

Lynette Gray Lynette Gray

Lynette struggled with life from a very early age but kept it to herself.

Anxiety started at high school and didn’t leave her until just a few years ago.Partying and moving around helped her to escape... her mental health made her believe she didn’t belong on this earth.

She felt separate. After the birth of her son Elias she was diagnosed with post natal depression. For the 1st time in her life she couldn’t run away from life! She had created life and Elias was her responsibility, wake up call, saviour.

She courageously began a journey of meditating, reading, studying, healing! And slowly Lynette started to shine her light again.Lynette is grateful for her journey and it’s colour, and will share the path that has led to her ability to connect to people easily as she understands we are all one - that feeling that she doesn’t belong has been transformed!

Susie Eyton

Susie Eyton

Susie’s health always felt like she was swimming against the current.

Chronic glandular fever in her teens, food intolerances, severe IBS, leaky gut.... Weave in that she was bullied all of her life... she quickly learned that it felt safer to be someone else.

The world saw her doing well, confident and successful! They didn’t see the crippling anxiety, or the painkillers she used to pop just to drag her agonisingly painful body out of bed.

She thought everyone had the same pain. She thought that was life.

Until one day her body screamed so loudly she had no choice but to stop! And her journey of Multiple Sclerosis began.

A journey that she now sees as her gift! Because life in so many ways is better than it was before! She lives a well, drug free, fit and able life, and will talk about the biggest key to finding her health, and letting her heart shine!
