Description



Trunchonbury is a unique family festival hidden in the North Norfolk countryside, a mile from the sea. This is a 3 day event with camping and campervan area taking place on August 25th 2017 bank holiday weekend. This 20 acre site will house live music all day on the main stage and on the Acoustic stage. Just a few of the activities featured include:

The list is endless. Trunchonbury is a fun event for all ages with headline bands and fireworks for the Sunday night.

Entry and exit times:

Main gates:

16.00-01.00hrs Friday 25th

Weekend camping ticket holders may enter the campsite at 1200hrs on Friday 25th.

Weekend camping ticket holders may stay on the campsite till 1200hrs on Monday 28th, but the main arena will be closed.

Age restrictions:

Children 0 - 4 years do not need a ticket.

Children 5 - 15 years need a Child Ticket in order to attend.

Teenagers 16 and over must have a standard Weekend Ticket. All under 16s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who is over 18 years old and this adult must remain on site throughout the weekend.

Age restrictions apply. Proof of age/ID may be required.

Food and drink allowed at the festival:

We do allow you to bring food and drink onto the campsite area although excessive amounts of cigarettes and alcohol for use in the campsite area may be refused entry to the site. No glass is allowed anywhere onsite for safety reasons.

When arriving at the main festival arena, the following may not be brought in with you:

•Any cans

•Alcohol

•Opened plastic drinks bottles and drinks bottles over 500ml in size.

All the above items will be confiscated. Anyone resisting confiscation of disallowed items may be evicted.

Only sealed plastic bottles of water 500ml or under and sealed cartons of juice will be permitted into the arena.


Things you can't bring:

Certain items are not allowed within the arena or the campsites.

You may be body and/or bag searched at the entrances. Persons suspected of carrying items that may be used in an offensive or dangerous manner, or carrying out illegal activities onsite may be searched.


Not allowed within the festival site:

•Glass. Strictly NO GLASS! For the rest of the year the fields are used by children and adults to play football.

•Illegal substances.

•Nitrous oxide.

•Legal Highs.

•Megaphones.

•Air horns.

•Spray cans.

•Fireworks.

•Flares.

•Chinese or sky lanterns.

•Any item which may reasonably be considered for use as a weapon.

•Sound systems. We provide the music so you don’t need too.


Not allowed into the main arena:

•Alcohol.

•Drink other than sealed bottles of water 500ml and under or sealed cartons of juice.

•Cans.

All the above items will be confiscated. Anyone resisting confiscation of disallowed items may be evicted.


Camping Stoves + Barbeques (Campsite Only):

Please be careful when using any flame – gas canisters (max size 2.7kg) are allowed.

No disposable barbeques. Off the ground legged barbeques are allowed, but do not scorch the grass and dispose of any used charcoal when fully cooled into waste bins.

Never cook in your tent!


Campfires:

Campfires are not permitted anywhere on the festival site.


Smoking:

All public and working enclosed spaces onsite are no smoking, including all stages other than outdoor stages. All tents and marquees onsite in the Village are also no smoking. This includes electronic cigarettes.

If you do smoke, please use the butt bins to dispose of your cigarette ends.


Weather:

The festival will go ahead regardless of rain etc and there will be undercover areas. There is no refund or exchange available. Please pack for all weather conditions.


Dogs:

We all love dogs and we do allow well behaved ones on to the festival site, but please clean up their mess and keep them on a lead at all times.


By Car:

To help with traffic flow please follow the B1145 from North Walsham to Knapton and enter NR280RX into your Sat Nav. Temporary Trunchonbury road signs will give directions.


Parking:

Weekend and day car parking is separate to the campsites in adjacent or nearby fields. Car Parking is included in the price of your ticket. No sleeping, camping or fires are allowed in the car parks.


By train:

The nearest train station is North Walsham, but you will need to arrange a lift or taxi from there.


By foot:

There is no pedestrian access to the festival site and the roads around the site are not suitable for pedestrians.

In the event you need to walk onto or offsite at night then please wear reflective clothing or something bright and highly visible as the roads are not lit and there are no pavements or verges.


Distances:

The following is a list of distances from the site to nearby villages and towns by car:

•Trunch – 1.5 miles.

•Mundesley – 1.9 miles.

•North Walsham – 3.1 miles.

•Cromer - 10 miles.

•Norwich - 18 miles.

•Great Yarmouth - 21 miles.

•Ipswich - 66 miles.


Taxis:

There will be a specified drop off/pick up point for members of the public wishing to travel in Taxis or Private Hire Vehicles.

Please ensure to have booked your return journey home.


Campsites:

There is plenty of space in the campsites for the capacity attending and so you should be able to find a space which is comfortable for you.

You cannot drive into the campsites at any time due to fire regulations.

There will be a short walk from your car to the campsite.

The campsites are divided into Family camping, General camping and Campervan.

If you wish to bring a campervan you will need to buy a weekend camping ticket plus a campervan pitch.


Showers:

We have a 3 shower blocks located in the clubhouse.


Toilets:

There will be plenty of toilet cubicles, urinals and disabled toilets to cope with the number of guests. They will be cleaned every day and please help to keep them tidy. There are toilets and a disabled toilet at the club house.


Waste:

Please use bins provided.

•Recycling for plastic bottles and aluminium cans.

•Everything else goes into the landfill bin.


Security:

A search may be conducted as a condition of entry to premises.

Incidents of crime and disorder will be reported to the police.

Entry to the premises will be refused to any person who appears to be drunk, acting in a threatening manner or is violent. Entry to the premises will be refused to anyone convicted by the police of an offence of drunkenness, violence or threatening behaviour, or the use or distribution of illegal substances.

Anyone caught burning toxic materials, creating bonfires, throwing gas canisters or aerosols onto fires, putting tents on fires, throwing missiles, or taking part in anti-social behaviour that endangers other festival goers will be evicted from site. As part of the eviction process, with your consent we will take a photograph of you.

Security staff will be patrolling in the campsites 24 hours throughout the festival. They are there to help and are also watching for suspicious behaviour.


Children's safety:

All children to accompanied by an adult at all times. We ask you to write your contact number on your child’s wristband in case you get separated and a member of the Trunchonbury tribe can reunite you. Lost children area will be clearly sign posted.


Emergencies:

In an emergency, please contact the nearest member of security or a Trunchonbury tribe member for help.


First aid:

There are medics at the festival who are fully equipped to deal with all situations. The medical tent will be clearly signed.


Disabled access and car parking:

Disabled parking will have its own entrance near the club house and will be clearly marked. The festival field is pretty flat and although grass it is suitable for wheel chair access.
