About this Event

"Without inner change, there can be no outer change; without collective change, no change matters..." (Angel Kyodo Williams, Zen teacher)

It goes without saying that we are in unprecedented times. As we take on board the new realities of the Covid-19 pandemic, climate change, and the racial and social justice movement, many of us have questions right now - about the future, our relationships with friends and family, our our hopes for the world, and what we're called to do at this time - to name a few. At times it's felt like the uncertainty that is usually peripheral feature of life has moved to the foreground. We wonder where we can place our trust. Some of our questions feel too big to hold; while seemingly small questions take a lot of our energy. We think we've got the measure of change, and found a place to settle, only to find ourselves carried forward into more change again - and again.

In these 4 weekly 90-minute sessions, the intention is to offer a chance to land and take stock in a settled and trustworthy space, to recover our bearings, decompress, and gather what we need to go forward. It's also an opportunity to learn some of the simple principles and practices of the 'circles of trust' approach to deep listening and reflection, where we create the conditions together to allow ourselves to hear the voice of our deeper truth. The programme is based on the models developed by Parker J. Palmer and the Center for Courage & Renewal, with whom Barbara trained and serves as a facilitator of retreats. You can read a description of the approach by clicking on this link.

Please therefore check your availability therefore before you sign up. We need 6-12 participants for the programme to run. In the unlikely event that we don't get enough registrations, we will reschedule and you will have a chance to transfer your registration or receive a full refund.

Do consider joining us and making some space for your inner work and supporting the inner work of others in the process. Make January a time for resolve...
