Trust Works Breakfast Conversations: Good Leaders: Liberators v Geniuses
Overview
Bring your own breakfast and join our fun and informal discussion to gain valuable insights from the world of trust-based working practices.
Every session will have a theme, though we will hold this lightly and allow the conversation to flow where it takes us. The central question in all, though, is how coming from a place of trust, openness and empowerment, can help tackle some of the tricky problems in our organisations. And how this will contribute to improving team work, employee engagement, client service and efficient working.
The conversation will be led by Tania Eber and Paul Jansen, experienced organisational change facilitators with a substantial track record in the concepts of self-management, autonomy and empowerment, not least through their work at Buurtzorg Britain & Ireland.
Join us and participate in the discussion or simply listen in. You can send us your questions in advance, or ask them in person during the event.
Today's theme: Good Leaders: Liberators or Geniuses
What makes a good leader? That eternal question. "It depends", we hear you say. "On what", we wonder.
Is it a visionary that most organisations need? A leading-from-the-front person? A brilliant genius who is smarter than all of us combined? A deal-maker? A control freak?
Or is it something else? Someone who nurtures, encourages, sets the context but not the detail, admits fallibility?
And what does it mean for you as (aspiring) leader yourself?
Join our conversation and share your story. What are your dilemmas when it comes to leadership? How does your organisation create its future leaders?
