About this Event

Our new Online Trust and Foundations Fundraising Course will equip you with the techniques and practices to increase your organisations’ income through Trusts and Foundations. From researching the Trusts and Foundations whose criteria and outcomes align with your organisation’s aims and objectives and writing a structured and compelling proposal to navigating through the reporting process.

This course will give you access to our Fundraising expert’s extensive knowledge and advice. During the course you will receive practical support and have access to the expert’s insights that will improve your confidence as a fundraiser.

IS THIS FOR ME?

This course is designed both as a follow-up course for those Bid Writing for Charities and Community Groups Course attendees who would like to deepen their knowledge about Trusts and Foundations Fundraising and as a stand-alone course for people with a minimum level of experience in fundraising.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Our Online Trust and Foundations Fundraising course offers a comprehensive overview of the grant funding process through Trusts and Foundations, so that you will go away from the course with a clear picture of the task of Trust and Foundations Fundraising. You will:Learn what are Trusts and Foundations and what to expect from them (Types, success rates, approaches, etc.)

  • Discover the methodology to create your organisations’ Trust proposal and obtain expert’s feedback
  • Understand how to research for suitable Trusts and Foundations through alternative databases.
  • Learn how to create and manage a Trust and Foundations pipeline document.
  • Explore how to manage your relationship with the Trust or Foundation (Reporting process, communication, etc.)
  • Receive tips and advice from our fundraising expert.

Our Online Trust and Foundations Fundraising Course is delivered in two 2-hour sessions, leaving some time in between to read further course material, create your own Trust proposal and reflect on the information given.

  • Session 2: Tuesday 16th August, 10:00am – 12:00pm

Where: Our course will be delivered via Zoom - a meeting ID and password will be emailed to you prior to the event

ABOUT THE TRAINER

After 10 years working in the voluntary sector for regional and national charities, in 2017 Beth Crakles began working with charities on a freelance basis, providing specialist strategy and funding support. She was previously Head of Development at Toynbee Hall, responsible for all voluntary income including a large capital appeal and securing the organisation’s first six-figures gifts from corporates and major donors.She have previously worked for NCVO, Friends of the Earth and RNIB, and provided consultancy support to arts, health and social organisations. I have also been a charity trustee.

Her clients over the past couple of years include The Stroke Association, Artis Foundation, Spitalfields City Farm and Kensington & Chelsea Social Council. She develop and deliver fundraising training: both on her own and on behalf of NCVO to the grantees of the Premier League Charitable Fund.

She holds an MSc (Distinction) in Voluntary Sector Management from Cass Business School, the IoF’s Certificate in Fundraising and the CIM’s Diploma in Communications, Advertising and Marketing. Beth is a member of the Institute of Fundraising’s National Convention Board, helping to organise the 2020 National Convention. In 2018 she launched her podcast, Cracking Charity Chat.
