Event description

Description

For this first Annual Public Lecture we are delighted to welcome Professor Griselda Pollock as our inaugural speaker. Griselda Pollock is Professor of the Social & Critical Histories of Art at University of Leeds and is internationally known for her innovative theoretical and methodological work in art, film and cultural theory.

For this talk Griselda Pollock will draw upon her own recent work, providing insights on art history today and for the coming years, and reflect on the issues facing us in terms of the value of art history at all levels of education.

This event forms part of an ongoing partnership between the School of Fine Art, History of Art & Cultural Studies at the University of Leeds and the Association for Art History to promote art history and the humanities in schools and to the wider public.
