Leading the Way Northwest-Try an E-Bike

Date: 20th May to 17th June Every Thursday

We have: Midday 30 minute time slots from 12 o' clock to 2pm.

Afternoon 30 minutes slots from 5:30pm to 7pm

All above time slots are one to one outdoor sessions.

Venue: Ebrington Square L/Derry City

Never been on an electric bike? This is your opportunity to come along and try one out.

Now the laws in NI have changed it makes riding an electric bike much easier now, however, if you have never tried one how do you it is for you?

These short sessions will give you a basic guide to E-bikes, the opportunity to ask any questions you might have and have a go riding an electric bike.

Your session will last approximately 25 minutes, the instructor will explain the basics of an e-bike, take any questions you might have, ensure you are comfortable on the bike and then you can test the bike out on the square.

You must remain on the square and insight of the instructor at all times.

To participate you must be able to ride a regular bike and be over the age of 18.

We will also ask you to show us your work ID card these are only available to Derry City & Strabane Council, Western Trust, Public Health staff so please do not book for a family member to attend.

We would ask you to bring your own helmet with you to wear, we will have some helmets available to loan on the day (these will be disinfected before and after use).

You will be required to wear a helmet during the session.

Please note the bikes we have available are adult- sized bikes. You must also be able to cycle a regular bike safely we may test you ability to cycle with a regular bike.

During the session we ask that you adhere to social distancing and wear a face mask.

The instructor will not physical assist you but will guide you through how the bike works. In the instance where the instructor needs to adjust the bike, bike contact points and/or tools will be disinfected. The instructor will use the same model bike to demonstrate how the controls work and can ride by your side until you feel confident.

We will be located opposite Walled City Brewery.

Please arrive on time and aim to be with us 10mintues before your time slot and please follow current COVID-19 social distance guidelines.

Midday Time slots are:

• 12:00am

• 1:00pm

• 1:30pm

• 2:00pm

Afternoon Time Slots

• 5:30 pm

• 6:00pm

• 6:30pm

• 7:00pm

Please not arrive on time otherwise other booking will be effective and this will cause a knock on effect for everyone come at least 10 minutes before your session

The sessions will be delivered under current Covid-19 guidelines.

There are only 4 places available, pre-booking is mandatory.
