Try Samba!

Try Samba is beign run by One Heart Drummers as part of their Upbeat Project and is a chance to have a go a Samba drumming. Samba music originated in Brazil and is the energetic sound of Rio carnival! All equipment is provided and with plenty of instruction we will get you drumming in no time at all!

We will introduce you to all the different types of drums and percussion used in Samba drumming and walk you through the process from your first beat on a drum up to playing with a samba group and by the end of the session we will be able to play at least one rhythm all together as a band!

The session will last around 2 1/2 hours with a short break in the middle.

This will be followed by some performances in town by our samba band.
