Are You Prepared for the Transition Away from Lead Shot?
BASC is hosting a Try Sustainable Ammunition Day on 14 November at Nuthampstead Shooting Ground, Hertfordshire. This event gives participants the chance to explore a range of sustainable ammunition options in line with new legislation, as the shooting community transitions away from lead shot.
The day will begin with a short talk and overview of sustainable ammunition, providing the opportunity to ask questions and discuss any concerns. Following this, members can test different cartridge types in a clay shooting environment under the guidance of a professional shotgun coach. Cartridges from a variety of manufacturers will be available.
Sessions run in pre-booked one-hour slots, making it easy to attend both this event and the BASC Patterning event during the same day (see website for details).
Please note that attendees must be 15 years of age or older.
Please make sure to bring your shotgun, certificate, and eye and hearing protection with you on the day. Guns must be nitro proof, have chambers of 65mm or longer, be choked half or less, and be either 12 or 20 bore. Cartridges will be provided.
