TickTheBucket BucketList Talks 9.0
Welcome, Welcome One and All,
This will be your ninth instalment of BucketList knowledge and, with the incredible words of motivation from Jim McNeill still ringing in our ears we hope you can make it to this one!
Our goal is to bring people together, to get inspired, get informed and come together to tick items off Bucket Lists. So far we've brought people together to help them run marathons, start doing stand-up comedy, become mixologists, learn Spanish, and so much more.
Some of our guest speakers have included a Burlesque fire eating mademoiselle, Mr Spoonface who told us about his rise to a No.1 U.K single, Peter Penny who returned to tell us about his 'year in the clouds' (climbing the 12 of the tallest peaks in the world in one year) and Aimee Teesdale telling us about her journey from an estate in the North of England to a life as BucketList entrepreneur and many many more... Hold onto your seat and buy an edible hat because we are burning through 2017 with a bang.
Matt Buck- Boasts an incredible career as an ultra marathon runner and for those of you who don't know what that is, it's the act of running an extra long marathon (some go as long as 100K). Matt has won the 5 Islands Ultra Marathon (in 2015), he's cycled London to Paris seven (not several) times, he was part of the Guinness World Record-breaking RelayGB running team in 2012 and he's compleated marathons. When we said we wouldn't rest till we got the best, this is what we meant.
Emily Lee- Emily Lee is a razor-sharp firebrand of a singer-songwriter, whose penchant for soulfully delivered performances and artful songwriting has made her a stand-out performer on the London music scene. Having picked up a guitar four years ago, Emily continues to thrive as a musician, writing songs and collaborating with some of the finest musicians in the UK. She has recently released her debut EP and currently gigs around the UK. I met her busking outside the London eye and after hearing her story I thought she'd be a type A person to tell the struggles of treading the path of hopes and dreams.
Laura Lamn- Is another aspiring musician and put herself forward as a member of our community to give a talk at our coming event. Having recently published her new song on International Women's day she's had over 20,000 views in one week and has been re-tweeted by JZ's label. Expect to hear about her own take on the music industry and what she thinks it takes to make it big. More info to come.
Luke Tyburski- Why Don’t We Eat Salad For Breakfast? This is the question Luke Tyburski will be asking us all at Bucket List Talks 9.0… Luke knows a thing or two about pushing limits, completing the infamous Marathon des Sables (running 6 marathons in 7 days) through the Sahara desert in his first ever running race, cycled 18 hours in a day to learn how to surf the following day, ran down Mt Everest in the world's highest ultra marathon (after living with elite Nepalese runners for a month high up in the mountains of rural Nepal), barely survived running through a Chinese forest without food, water, or money and sleeping in a hammock, and his first ever triathlon was The Double Brutal Extreme Triathlon, taking him 35 non-stop hours to complete!
For those of you that came last time, you know the drill, for those of you that are joining for the first time - this is a chance to hear from some of the most inspirational people that walk these here London streets, as well as meet others just like you - ready for their next adventure.
