Event Details

To fulfill the requirements onto an ITT course, you are required to carry out at least 10 days’ school experience.

Trinity Teaching School Alliance are offering you this opportunity at their host school; Trinity Academy in Halifax. You will be involved in observing classes as well as supporting where you feel comfortable.

The following departments are able to accommodate you: Science, PE, Humanities (Geography/History/RE), Business Studies, ICT, Design & Performance (Drama/Art/Technology/Music), English and Maths.

The ticket you purchase is open; therefore, we will contact you once you have booked onto the programme to discuss the required department and dates.

We ask for a £10 registration fee but this will be reimbursed if we are first choice on your UCAS application form.

TTSA School Work Experience - Terms and Conditions

1. Participation in the program will be considered acceptance of these Terms and Conditions, and any ongoing updates to these Terms and Conditions. 

2. Trinity Academy is the owner of Trinity Teaching School Alliance School Work Experience programme.

3. Once entered, details of the applicant are not transferable to any other person.

4. Lateness or non-attendance may be deemed as ineligible for consideration for participation in the program, and will only be considered at TTSA discretion. Refunds are not available in this case.

5. A requirement of the Teaching Standards is professionalism. We reserve the right to withdraw school experience placements should appropriate professionalism not be demonstrated. A refund will be made.

6. All information submitted must be true and correct at the time of application.

7. TTSA accepts no responsibility for inability to or failure to apply by the closing date.

9. Although every effort will be made to ensure information (including information packs and forms) are sent to the addresses (including email) stated on the registration, TTSA takes no responsibility for lost or misdirected items not received by participants.

10. The applicant agrees to indemnify TTSA against any injuries or damage to persons or loss or theft of property, whether caused by negligence or otherwise while participating in the activities provided throughout the experience.

11. Experiences as part of this program may be physically strenuous and participation is voluntary.

12. If for any reason the program is unable to run as planned including causes beyond the control of TTSA the program may be cancelled, suspended or modified. Refunds will be made or alternative dates.

13. These Terms and Conditions may be altered where necessary, and any changes will be notified on the program's website.

14. TTSA reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of an application, reject an application or disqualify an application that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. 

15. Applicants must fulfill TTSA School Direct entry requirements.

16. Any applicant who takes part in the TTSA School Experience Programme and successful onto our course will receive a full refund.

17. All applicants without a DBS check will wear a lanyard to show this and must stay with a member of staff at all times.

The Trinity Teaching School Alliance is one of the largest School Direct providers, offering a rich and diverse training experience. We are an alliance of over 50 schools across Calderdale and Yorkshire, offering both primary and secondary courses in collaboration with Huddersfield University.
