Organising committee meetings and making them effective is a key role of a workplace Rep. This course will give learners the opportunity to develop their skills in delivering effective meetings.

How long is the course?

This course will be delivered over 2 days online, Thursday to Friday

What will the course help me to do?

The course will help you:

  • Effectively prepare for committee meetings, including clear procedures and roles
  • Use and understand committee meeting procedures
  • How to best include and capture members’ views in meetings
  • Use committee meetings to represent members’ views
  • Select future priorities for meetings, and ways to promote theses to the wider union membership
  • Critically compare success of action points in the plan

How much is the course?

There are no course fees for union reps from TUC affiliated unions.

PLEASE NOTE: This course is for residents of Scotland only. This course will be delivered by Fife College. Please be aware that funding restrictions in some areas may mean that a college cannot accept your application: if this is the case you will be notified which college to reapply to.
