Hi, My name is Aimee and I'm a historian, writer and tour guide. I write mainly about Early Modern history, and have published two books on Tudor England. I run tours in York and North Yorkshire, aiming to share the rich and entertaining history of the area, and show just how interesting history can be!

Disclaimer: My tours are wheelchair accessible unless it is clearly stated otherwise. If you have accessibility needs please let me know and I will endeavour to help in any way I can. I am happy to allow pushchairs, children and dogs on my tours, but the parents and owners must take responsibility for anyone they choose to bring along. The tours are aimed at grown-ups , but anybody who loves history is welcome! Bring your camera and take as many pictures as you like. Please make sure you wear suitable clothing and footwear - York's streets can be uneven. Please dress appropriately for the British climate - it's the North, it will probably rain at some point!!
