Tuesday Improv Club (Beginners)
Event Information
About this event
In Tuesday Improv Club classes, we play improv games and create stories together in a friendly, welcoming online space. The stand alone classes are suitable for complete beginners, as well as people who want to revisit the basics of improv and refresh their skills. Regular Tuesday Improv Club classes will run online through the winter months.
Comedy improv is a joyful way to unlock creativity and increase spontaneity. It’s also a great stress buster and there’s always lots of laughter. No need to worry about being funny or how imaginative you are – the comedy just happens, and you’ll be surprised at what you come up with.
'There's an essential kindness and generosity to Mel's improv classes which suits me down to the ground.'
The tutor: Mel Taylor has been teaching and performing comedy improv since 2012. She is co-director of Playful Being and is one half of the comedy improv duo Long Story Short.
A note on the tech: you’ll be sent a Zoom link the day before the class. You'll need a laptop or tablet - basically the bigger the screen, the better the experience - and a room where you won't be disturbed for an hour. We'll 'gather' 5 minutes before the session starts to sort any issues with sound or video.
Please read our code of conduct before joining the class.
