Description
JOIN US ON AN INDIE FOOD AND DRINK ADVENTURE IN THE KENTISH TOWN OF TUNBRIDGE WELLS
We will take you on a tasting tour of a number of local shops with great food and drink such as:
- local cheese and smoked charcuterie
- British chocolates and sweet treats
- local cider and craft beer
- whatever takes your fancy along the route
Every tour is different and unique due to an ever changing line up of great shops and produce.
We are currently visiting the following:
- The Bicycle Bakery for great tasting coffee to kick off
- Foodies Deli for delicious local cheese and smoked meat tastings
- The Beer Boutique for thirst-quenching tasting flights of local craft beer
- Chocolatl for mouth-watering British chocolate sample
- The Pantiles Tap for wonderful Kentish cider to end the tour
Producers include: High Weald Dairy, Land Chocolate, Weald Smokery, Pig and Porter Brewery and more!
We will meet at Tunbridge Wells train station and grab a quick drink at a local independent coffee shop. We'll walk on and meet shop owners who will talk us through local food and drink produce and have small tastings at each stop.
We'll be tasting food and drink sample-sized bites so you may wish to munch down a good breakfast before we meet - or purchase whatever takes your fancy throughout the journey.
This is a walking tour (approx 1.5 miles over 3 hours) that takes place in all weathers so please dress appropriately.
You may be local or here on holiday - but in case you are coming from London then trains run every 15 minutes from London terminals Charing Cross, London Bridge & Cannon Street costing around £15 return (March 2018).
Private tours available on request. Please contact us for more details with any accessibility requirements.
