🎻 Workshop Description

Following the success of October’s sold-out Irish Fiddle Workshop, Mairead Forde returns with another date this December!

Each workshop in this series is standalone — you can come to one, the other, or both.

They’re designed for adult fiddle and violin players (not suitable for complete beginners) who want to explore session repertoire, refine technique, and gain confidence in the Irish traditional style in a relaxed, welcoming setting.

Over the course of the afternoon (2–5pm), you’ll:

🎶 Learn a selection of well-known session tunes

🎻 Focus on bowing, ornamentation, and rhythm

💬 Take part in a Q&A on playing and tradition

📘 Receive a printed booklet of tunes to take home

🥗 Lunch and refreshments included

A friendly and focused afternoon of tunes, technique, and connection — perfect preparation for the Fleadh coming to Belfast!

Limited to 20 places.

The last workshop sold out quickly, so early booking is advised.
