Can I arrive by boat ?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We have limited space for 20 vessels. To secure a space you must pre-book at the time of ticket purchase (General Admission Ticket + 1 Boat Pass). Boat captains must take full responsibility of passengers alighting and boarding on the pontoon. Life jackets should be worn.

Question 2

Can I arrive by bike ?

Accepted Answer

Yes. To encourage cyclists, we will be creating a secure bicycle storage area behind the pub.

Question 3

Can I arrive by kayak, canoe or paddle board ?

Accepted Answer

Yes. There is no charge to land a kayak, canoe or paddle board. However, we have limited space so a paddle pass must be purchased with your ticket. There are a limited number of 20 paddle passes available so early purchase is advisable.

Question 4

Is the ferry running ?

Accepted Answer

Yes. There is one departing from Topsham Quay at 5:00pm and one departing The Turf at 10:45pm. A General Admission Ticket + 1 Ferry Return must be purchased in advance. There are a limited number of ferry tickets available so early purchase is advisable.

Question 5

Can I arrive by car ?

Accepted Answer

No. Sadly there is no parking at The Turf. Various parking is available within a 15-30  minute walking distance from the pub. For all access information please visit: www.the-turf.com

Question 6

Is the pub accessible for all ?

Accepted Answer

Yes, although not without its difficulties. Access to the pub is uniquely only across the lock gate. The garden and only one toilet are located at ground levels. The pub has steps at all access points. There is no parking at the pub.

What food will be available ?

Accepted Answer

The Turf kitchen will serve up a range of fantastic BBQ and street food, and we've also teamed up with the Pizzola experts at Soul Pizza. A range of food will be available for most dietary preferences but inform your server of any allergies at the time of ordering.
