Event description

Description

The Kurdish people have suffered oppression for centuries but are renowned for their solidarity and resistance. Since the outbreak of the Syrian civil war Kurdish resistance has been reinvigorated. In Rojava the Kurds have organised a radical socialist and feminist organisation called YPG hich has played an important role in the war against ISIS in the face of enormous difficulties. We are pleased to announce that Ezgi, President of Edinburgh University Kurdish Society, will introduce our discussion.

We will also have some time set aside in our Assembly to discuss Indyref2 and campaigning.
