Description

Thanks to the CAVATINA Chamber Music Trust, St John's Smith Square is offering free tickets for 8-25 years olds to the Turn of the Century concert in May.

Sunday at St John's, Postcards from Germany and France

Joan Enric Lluna
CLARINET
Rivka Golani
VIOLA
Deniz Gelenbe
PIANO

The series explores the gems in the romantic German repertoire for mixed trios with clarinet, viola and piano in the first concert and some of the rarely performed masterpieces of French piano trios in the second concert.

Pianist Deniz Gelenbe invites Joan Enric Lluna, clarinet, Rivka Golani, viola, for this magical journey through the German romantic and French neoclassic repertoire.

This programme consists of three charming works by French composers from the Turn of the Century: a youthful work by Debussy written when he was eighteen years old, and mature, subtle and sublime works by Gabriel Fauré and Camille Saint-Saëns composed when they were at the end of their lives.
