Event description
Turner Contemporary is reopening on 22nd July 2020 until 6th September 2020. Booking a free ticket is essential before you visit.

About this Event

We’re looking forward to welcoming you back to Turner Contemporary when we re-open from Wednesday 22 July 2020 – 6 September 2020.

When we open our doors again, the safety of our visitors and staff is our highest priority. There will be changes and new protocols in place so that you can enjoy Turner Contemporary safely in a relaxed atmosphere.

Guidance for visiting

We are asking all visitors to book free tickets in advance for an allocated time slot. This will help us manage the number of people visiting, so that you can experience Turner Contemporary and the exhibition safely and observe social distancing. You can read the guidance we would like you to follow when visiting here.

Exhibitions

All exhibition spaces in the gallery will be open. We will be showing We Will Walk – Art and Resistance and the American South in our main galleries upstairs, and Barbara Walker’s Place, Space and Who in our downstairs Sunley Gallery as you enter into our space. They will both be on for a final run until 6 September 2020.

Facilities

The shop will be open. Toilets are available. The cafe will be closed and lockers will not be available. Read more about facilities here.

Support us

Please consider making a donation as part of your visit. Turner Contemporary is free to enter making world-class art accessible to everyone, regardless of where they live or what they can afford. Your support will help us continue our work, including exhibitions, learning, and community engagement. Every donation makes a difference.

Unfortunately we cannot accept refund requests on donation tickets.

Cancellations

In the event of the Covid-19 situation changing, we may need to cancel your booking at short notice. We will endeavour to do this as soon as possible.

If you are unable to attend your booked slot for any reason, please be considerate to other visitors and cancel your booking so that we can enable others to visit.

Stay at home if you're feeling unwell

Please remember, stay at home if you’re feeling unwell, or have been in contact with someone who has coronavirus, and follow NHS coronavirus guidelines.

Track and Trace

In order to help reduce the risk of a local outbreak of coronavirus we are asking for contact details of all visitors. When you book in advance, we will ask for contact details of the person making the booking. If you arrive without an advance booking, a member of staff will ask you to book online. In line with government guidance, we will keep your details for 21 days. We will only share them with NHS Test and Trace if asked, in the event of a visitor or member of staff testing positive for coronavirus.

We look forward to being able to welcome you back to Turner Contemporary soon.
