Description

We are pleased to announce that Turning the Plastic Tide is organising a clean-up at Blackdog beach on Sunday 24th March as part of the Climate Week North East 2019.

Volunteers will be given a safety briefing at 10.00 am at the car park (follow Hareburn Road, car park well sign-posted) and provided with equipment to aid the beach clean. It is reminded that participants are required to dress appropriately, including warm clothes and good footwear.

This is an event for all so please do bring along your friends and family, however under 18s should be accompanied by an adult at all times.

What should I bring to the event?

All volunteers are advised to wear appropriate clothing including warm clothes, waterproofs and good footwear. Safety and protective equipment such as gloves and litter pickers will also be provided, as well as bags to aid the beach clean.


What is "Turning the Plastic Tide"?

Turning the Plastic Tide is a two-year beach clean project aimed at reducing the amount of marine litter in coastal areas from Fraserburgh to East Haven in Angus.
