"During an investigation into the National Arts Education Archive, I realised there was no information pertaining to Drumcroon Education Art Centre, Wigan.
I resolved to create a Drumcroon archive collection to be housed in the National Arts Education Archive for the benefit of future art educators.
My presentation at The Turnpike Art Gallery will accompany artwork I have created to illuminate Drumcroon, personalising its practices with examples of work with my own classes enhanced by Drumcroon provision. I have also created a banner to illuminate the experiences of some members of the Drumcroon community, who continue to be involved with art work and acknowledge the impact Drumcroon has exerted on their own work."
