Ridelines

Corners and Berms

Great trails are never straight so Ridelines with teach you great lines and smooth technique to help you find extra grip to hug those corners and rail those berms with speed, style and confidence.

Pump and Jump

Let Ridelines get you started on your airborne career on jumps and flying drop offs. Learn to pump and hop the bike for a flowing smooth ride and learn how to use every inch of the trail to gain and maintain speed.

Roots and Rocks (Prepare for Enjoyro)

When trails start to get technical, Ridelines will refine your technique, increase your confidence and control and get insight on understanding line choice, finding grip, transitioning between technical trail features. Perfect prep for Enjoyro.

Manuals and Wheelies

These skills are always fun to play with and, when executed well, can really transform your trail riding. Help your technical ability for both ups and downs, and open up a whole world of extra skill and confidence in your riding (great for showing off too).

Instructor/rider ratio – 1:6max.

Suitable bike in good working order and helmet required.

Bike hire not included.

Entry open to anyone over 12 years old. Under 16’s must be accompanied by participating adult.



Swift Trails

Swift Trails - mountain bike coaching for women
Sessions for women led by coaches Lucy Husband from Swift Trails

Open to over 18's only

Introduction to Mountain Biking

This session is aimed towards women new to mountain biking and those returning to biking after a break and appropriate for riders at a beginner level.

We will show you how to carry out a pre-ride safety check on your bike, check your helmet fits and advise how to get the bike set up for you correctly.

We will focus on the fundamental skills required to ride the trails safely and with confidence. Two hours of coaching will be followed by a 30 minute ride around the trails and then it’s back to Buzzards Nest for coffee and cake and a post ride chat!

Tuesday 5 June 2:30pm - 5pm

Wednesday 6 June 6pm - 8:30pm

Intermediate Skills

Aimed at those who already have trail confidence, but would like to take their riding to the next level. We will be focusing on the techniques required to ride step-ups and drop-offs.

Two hours of coaching will be followed by a 30 minute ride around the trails and then it’s back to Buzzards Nest for coffee and cake and a post ride chat!

Maximum 6 riders. (Instructor/rider ratio 1:6)

Required for coaching sessions:

Mountain bike in full working order

Appropriate helmet (gloves – optional but recommended)

Knee pads (optional)

Clothing appropriate for the weather conditions! (could be raining/could be a scorcher)

Snack and water

Spare inner tube and chain link (we do not carry spares)

Entry open to anyone over 16 years old

Women’s Bike Maintenance Workshop

Don’t know your brake cable from your gear shifter?
Does your bike make strange noises and you have no idea why?
Do you carry a spare inner tube but don’t know how to fit it?

If the answer is yes to any of the above then come and join Lucy Husband from Swift Trails for an evening workshop of bike maintenance.

This fun and informative introduction to bike maintenance aims to help build your knowledge and confidence. Come and get your hands dirty learning how to keep your bike clean and lubricated as well as addressing common maintenance issues and trailside repairs. No experience necessary!
