This is the third of a three-day workshop series funded by the Royal Society of Edinburgh ('RSE') on:

“Twenty Years of the Scottish Parliament: Critical Reflection on the Development of Child and Family Law”

The workshops mark the twentieth anniversary of the re-establishment of the Scottish Parliament in 1999. The aim is to facilitate understanding and analysis of the work of the Scottish Parliament within the field of Scots Child and Family Law.

DAY 1 (10 October 2019): Focus - work to date and children

DAY 2 (11 OCTOBER 2019): Focus - topical issues and future development

DAY 3 (21 NOVEMBER 2019): Focus - adult relationships

All days are free to attend. Lunch and refreshments provided. Places are limited (maximum of 40 participants each day) and will be allocated on a first come first served basis. A full programme is available on request.

Speakers include: Elaine E Sutherland, Professor of Child and Family Law, University of Stirling; Professor Kay Tisdall, Chair of Childhood Policy, University of Edinburgh; Professor Jane Mair, University of Glasgow Law School; Professor Kenneth Norrie, University of Strathclyde Law School; Juliet Harris, Director of Together Scotland; Kate Dowdalls QC, Scottish Law Commission; Sheriff Aisha Anwar, Glasgow Sheriff Court.
