Event Information
Description
There's more to Twickenham than rugby. Among the attractions of this leisurely 2-hour stroll you will pass Twickenham film Studios, the homes of artist J.M.W. Turner (under restoration) and a king's mistress, see the magnificent view across the Thames to Ham House and Richmond Hill, meander along the riverbank past the home of French royal exiles, meet the saucy Naked Ladies and take in Twickenham's classic Thames waterfront and quirky Eel Pie Island, the home of rhythm & blues. The walk finishes at Twickenham's historic Church street with its pubs, cafes and restaurants. You can extend your visit to Strawberry Hill House, Horace Walpole's eccentric Gothic Castle, and Twickenham Museum.
