Join us at for this twilight conference at the British Library.


This event supports the professional development of librarians and English teachers at KS3 and GCSE with insights, inspiration and practical suggestions for invoking a little magic in your libraries and classrooms.


Featuring keynote speaker Andrew Burn (UCL Institute of Education), discussions and practical activities will:

  • explore popular culture in relation to English teaching

  • support wider cultural learning to fire imaginations

  • help develop learners’ appetites for reading and writing


The evening includes a curator introduction to and exclusive visit in the Harry Potter: A History of Magic exhibition.
