Join us for a hands-on, informal workshop exploring creative ways to repurpose plastic and paper waste into beautiful, functional materials. Using waste provided by Narture, we'll focus on twine and bead making, with plenty of pre-made examples on hand for inspiration.
You'll learn a few simple techniques to transform discarded materials into usable yarns and components - perfect for knitting, crochet, weaving, and more. Whether you're a total beginner or a seasoned maker, this workshop is a space for experimentation, conversation, and sharing ideas.
Come to one session or both (second session Sunday 28th from 12pm-2pm) - each is a relaxed taster where you'll pick up new skills and new perspectives.
We'd love to have some experienced knitters or crocheters join the conversation too - Laura's expert-knitter aunt will be there to lend a hand!
Let’s talk about waste, reuse, and making things that matter.
This event is free to attend, but donations are warmly welcomed - either on the day or via the link below.Your support helps us continue offering healthy food, creative arts and wellbeing workshops, skills training, local job opportunities, and community-led town centre regeneration projects.
