Twinkl Teach Event: Scientific Discoveries & More!

FREE Twinkl Teach Event with our friends Doncaster Museum & Art Gallery.

Come along and enjoy two engaging workshops ‘Alchemy Academy' and 'Dino Detectives' led by the wonderful Doncaster Museum team. The Alchemy Academy workshop will give attendees the chance to do four mini experiments: 'Gravity defying water', 'Layered liquids', 'Milk Madness' and 'Solid, Liquid, Gas'. The 'Dino Detectives' will give teachers inspiration on how to turn pupils into investigative scientists by working through a trail of clues to find which species of dinosaur is in the museum. You might even get to see a real life dinosaur on the way out!

Twinkl will be handing out FREE Twinkl mugs and goodies to all attendees. The Doncaster Museum team will also be on hand to talk about their Museum loan services - so will have plenty of objects and information to share.

Refreshments and nibbles will be available from 4.30pm for a 4:45pm start, to finish around 6.30pm. The event will take place in the upstairs Art Galleries and the Museum will also be open for those who wish to take a look around - so feel free to arrive earlier and explore! Don't worry if you can't make it for 4.30pm, just arrive when you can.

Head teachers are encouraged to allow staff to attend in lieu of a twilight training event or staff meeting, as part of normal directed time.

Parking: Free parking at the museum but if this is full there is parking available on the road or in the St Peter in Chains Church car park close by.
