Twins & Multiples Summer Picnic

Join us for our Twin and Multiples Club Summer Picnic at Saughton Park Rose Garden!

Feel free to stay for the whole thing or just drop in for a quick chat, whatever works with your schedule / nap plan! Our rough plan for the day, subject to change as we'll be keeping a very close eye on the weather 🙏 ☀️

10am - meet at the play park for a quick play

11am - we'll move over to the grass near the cafe and set up a little picnic spot. We're hoping to set up a little teddy bears picnic so bring little ones favourite cuddly toy to join in. Hopefully we'll have a few songs and games, and time to chat and eat a packed lunch.

1pm (ish) - tidy up and leaving, thought your welcome to stay as long as you'd like

We may be able to provide a couple of snacks and juice, but please bring your own picnic and blanket if you are able to. Food and coffees can be bought from the Cafe at Saughton Park - https://www.foursquare.org.uk/cafe.

We'll be at the Play Park (marked 19 on the map) from 10am. Around 11am we'll set up a picnic space close to the cafe (near 14 on the map)

Toilets and baby changing facilities can be found in the courtyard (16) and coffee, cake, and hot food can be bought at Four Square Park Cafe (17).

The Park is well served by Lothian Buses services:

Gorgie Road gate

• Saughton Park stop - 3, 25, 30, 33
• Saughton Rose Gardens stop - 30, 38, X27, X28

Balgreen Road access and Ford's Road gate

• Balgreen Primary School stop - 1, 2, 22, 38

Stevenson Drive access

• Whitson Crescent stop - 1, 2, 22

Tram

The Balgreen road access point is a 4 minute walk from the Edinburgh Trams Balgreen tram stop.

Car

There is free parking available at the Ford's Road car park and Winter Gardens car park.
