Jan Ponsford of Virtus Consult and Dr Bob Hardwick of Leisure Energy by The Clarkson Alliance will present two case studies examining energy savings in both the NHS and Leisure Centres.
NHS Energy Savings
Virtus Consult have developed a unique model for identifying, procuring and delivering significant guaranteed demand and supply side carbon and energy cost reduction to NHS clients. The model allows for direct or funding from savings achieved. Jan Ponsford Director at Virtus Consult will talk about a recent case study at Heartlands Hospital in Birmingham.
Energy Saving for Leisure
Bridport Leisure Centre, Dorset has saved over £40,000 per annum and 200 tonnes of CO2 by implementing a holistic energy efficiency strategy. The distinctive challenges of a leisure facility compared to a dry building are explored in this talk from energy consultant, Dr Bob Hardwick from Leisure Energy by The Clarkson Alliance, in collaboration with Lean Energy.
The presentations will be of interest to CEO’s of Leisure Trusts, Heads of NHS Trusts, facilities managers and financial teams for public sector organisations as well as estate and building users, clients, construction professionals, Contractors and Subcontractors. The case studies demonstrate current energy saving techniques and real life savings.

The Oxford Club of Constructing Excellence was established in 2000 and our members include clients in the local area, together with designers, consultants, contractors, academics, specialists and suppliers. Our aim is to enable joined up thinking between members of the construction industry and to establish Oxford as a centre of excellence in construction.
