Two-Day Bid Writing for Charities and Community Projects
This is a two-day course taking place on 5th and 6th December 2016 from 9.30 am to 4.30pm on both days.
"Bid writing for community projects" is aimed at people who are involved in charities and local community groups. It will cover the skills and knowledge needed to help your group to fundraise for its activities, including:
Funding overview - the different sources of funding available to charities and not for profit groups and organisations
Funder's criteria and eligibility - matching what you want to fund and funder's priorities
Funding applications - different types of funding
Research / Evidence - how and where to research to enable you to source the infromation needed to support your application
Funding searches - how to find the funds, where to look, and how to keep informed and up to date
Funder's process - the different types of application processes
Supporting documents - what are they?
Budgets - what does a good budget look like
Case studies - and examples of funding applications
Venue: Centre 88, Saner Street, Hull HU3 2TR
Time: 9.30am to 4pm. Two-day course on 5th and 6th December
Lunch: Not Provided. there will be a 30 minute break for lunch; please bring your own packed lunch.
Please note: The practicalities of this course requires the use of a computer to access the internet. You will need to bring your own laptop with you on both days. If you do not have access to a laptop, please contact Jrobinson@hull-cvs.co.uk - we will try to accomodate where possible.
