Essential 2 day training and CPD for all NMC registrants who have not previously undertaken any NMC approved mentor preparation course to ‘suitably prepare’ all NMC registrants to undertake the minimum role required to support students in practice.

Contents:

Day 1: W ill start with a Supportive webinar to discuss the new standards with you. You will then complete the work book and quiz to prepare all NMC registrants to support the supervision of students in practice.

Day 2: Attendees are required to complete a work day assessment under the supervision of an assessor. This is the teaching of a skill to either a student or a junior colleague. You will be provided with the electronic PDF paperwork which when completed will need to be signed and returned to the alliance.hub1@nhs.net inbox in order for you to receive your training certificate.

After registering you will be sent a link to register for the event on Zoom. Once registered you will be sent a password to join the webinar and a link to access the online training package, which includes an assessment. You must achieve 80% in the assessment to successfully complete the training and receive your certificate.
