Suitable for those with basic jewellery making skills but looking to take them to the next level, this two day workshop will see us build on existing skills to create some beautiful jewellery to wear home. The skills covered with include stone setting as well a developing the techniques of sawing, filing, soldering and polishing.
The cost of the class covers the cost copper for practise during the class and for the of silver to create items like a ring, bracelet and necklace although if you would like to make bigger silver items such as a cuff, you would be welcome to purchase additional silver on the day. If you have jewellery, particularly old gold jewellery you wish to recycle, you would be welcome to bring that with you and we will melt down the gold to make some of the items we cover during the class.
Lunch will be provided on both days as well as a tea, coffee, water and biscuits to keep you sustained during the class. If you are coming from further afield and require overnight accomodation, you are able to purchase this at checkout for the tickets
This in-person event will take place in The Studio at Millbank, Millbank House, Millbank Lane, Cumnock, Ayrshire, KA18 1AB and numbers are limited to a maximum of 6 attendees to take part in this special workshop.
Suitable for those aged 16 to 94+, beginners jewellery experience is necessary, and all tools and needed for the class will be provided for use on the day although it is advisable to bring hair bobbles and glasses if needed and loose clothing is best avoided.
