Join us on July 2nd & 3rd 2020 at the Carlton Hotel, Blanchardstown, Dublin, for our Root Cause Analysis Masterclass.

In this two-day interactive Root Cause Analysis training course, you will learn practical applications of Root Cause Analysis, from understanding the impact of the problem, through to developing an analysis and identifying the solutions to arm you with the ability to solve issues that otherwise might reoccur.

How much is the Root Cause Analysis training course?

Places are 795 (plus VAT) per person, and include complimentary coffee, tea, water and lunch each day.

What will delegates learn?

  • Proactive versus Reactive RCA’s – Understand the difference between a proactive approach to root cause analysis, a reactive approach, and the benefits of each.

  • Trigger Points and Risk – Determine the triggers of an RCA investigation in your organisation, and what levels of risk will determine the analysis to be performed.

  • Timeline – Learn how to develop a timeline and identify what information needs to be captured to support the analysis.

  • Incident Investigation – Learn how the RCA methodology integrates with your Incident Investigation process.

  • Impact Statement – This is the problem starting point, and is the “what”, “when”, “why” and “impact” of the problem within the organisation.

  • 5 WHY Analysis – Understand the 5 WHY process with some interactive exercises that demonstrate this as the basis of cause and effect.

  • Cause and Effect Analysis – Understand the principles of cause and effect and how this can be used on more complex issues that lead to the identification of effective solutions.

  • Evidence – This will highlight the importance of evidence and look at the different types of evidence on offer that support the RCA investigation.

  • Solutions – The purpose of an RCA is to identify effective solutions and prevent reoccurrence of the problem, here we look at how to identify an effective solution.

  • Reporting – With the analysis complete, how do we communicate our findings in a simple but effective way? Here we look at various report templates and discuss the importance of tracking the outputs of the investigation.

  • Final Exercise – Here the attendees will work in teams of 4 – 5 people and complete a full investigation utilising the learnings from the training.

The training will be delivered by Gary Tyne CRL (Director of Pro-Reliability Solutions) Gary’s exposure to Reliability began whilst working for ICI in the UK. This was followed up in New Zealand when he was appointed site Reliability Engineer at the Shell Kapuni plant. This was followed by 6 years Reliability training, facilitating and consulting in Australia before Gary returned to continue his Reliability Journey in the UK.

Gary now trains and mentors’ organisations globally utilising Reliability best practice techniques.
