REASONS TO REMAIN The EU is the world’s most successful peace project that has become an international force for good. At its heart is an International Treaty that promotes freedom, democracy and national sovereignty. The EU has made travel more accessible to a wider public, it has been good for business, good for workers, it safeguards human rights, protects health and our environment. What is more, we have a better chance of stopping climate change whilst we are working together in the EU. We must not throw away 40 years of unique benefits.

STOPPING BREXIT: Rt Hon Stephen Dorrell, is a Former Cabinet Minister under John Major and is now Chairman of the European Movement. He has been instrumental in founding the People’s Vote campaign 18 months ago and supporting the anti-Brexit movement. Stephen will remind us of the purpose of European integration “not as something that has been added by some group of malign federalists working in a darkened room in Brussels. That is Churchill’s original insight. Working together in order to learn the lessons of what had gone wrong in the first half of the twentieth century.” Brexit is not the answer to our domestic problems.

STOPPING CLIMATE CHANGE WITHIN THE EU Caroline Voaden MEP, is a former journalist with Reuter’s and editor and has spent several years covering the Balkan war. As a member of the European Parliament’s Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety, Caroline is making waves championing action on the climate emergency within the EU. “Climate change is the most important issue facing our planet - way more important than Brexit or Trump. I believe the best way to tackle this threat is on an interanal scale with our European allies, working together to properly address the issues that know no national boundary.”

CHAIR: Elinor Goodman was political editor for Channel 4 News until 2005, is now a broadcaster and presenter on BBC Radio 4 and supports numerous rural initiatives.
