Event description

Description

Set in more than 80-acres, Twycross Zoo has around 500 animals of almost 150 species to see, including many endangered animals and native species in the Zoo’s Nature Reserve. You can walk with the ring-tailed lemurs in their walk-through enclosure; see the troop of emperor tamarins leap above your head in their treetop exhibit, and watch the Humboldt penguins take their daily walk. Keepers present regular talks and feeds where you can learn a bit more about some of the animals such as the chimpanzees, Asian elephants and South American coatis.

A coach will be provided to and from the Zoo. Once at the Zoo you will participate in a workshop exploring how the Zoo operates as a business. You'll then have a chance to look round the Zoo and grab some lunch (not provided) before finishing the day with another short session exploring your findings.

This trip is open to final year students studying the following programmes at Birmingham City University:

- Accounting and Finance

- Accountancy

- Business and Finance

- Accountancy and Business

Please meet at reception in the Curzon Building to board the coach.

The University reserves the right to charge the full cost of a place in the case of non-attendance.

Students are only able to book on to 1 third year trip.
