Tyne Valley Community Rail Partnership Stakeholder Event 24 November 2016
Thu 24 November 2016, 17:30 – 18:30 GMT
This event at Hexham Railway Station is for all who wish to develop the future of the Tyne Valley Railway Line.
If you live, work, socialise or lead in the communities between Newcastle and Carlisle come and:
- hear about the plans for improving services and stations
- be inspired by initiatives in place on other community rail lines
- contribute to the action plan of the Tyne Valley Community Rail Partnership
- network with our partners and supporters
2017 to 2020 will be a frenetic time for our railway line, and the rail operator Northern have a great number of contractual obligations (committed by the Department for Transport) to deliver improvements to both our trains and stations. Services will be intensified. The operator will be at the meeting and therefore it is your chance to hear what is planned for your station; but more important it is your opportunity to comment on these plans, because at this stage things can be changed, therefore your input is vital.
This is a free event being repeated at 15:30, 17:30 and 19:00. Please book to attend a specific time slot - it is helpful for our planning.
The small print! Depending on numbers, we reserve the right to re-locate the event to another venue, close to the station in Hexham. Please ensure we have your e-mail address.
