Q. Who is this event for?
A. This Discovery Day is for people and their families who are currently using an insulin pump rather than injections.
Q. Is this an event for children?
A. Absolutely if they will be interested in the event. We are very happy for you to bring quiet entertainment for them (iPad and headphones) in case they don’t last the full 2 1/2 hours!
Q. Is there separate entertainment for children?
A. No, not at this Discovery Day. If you have a child who is too young to be interested in the speakers there will be space for you to take them out of the room when they get bored.
Q. I’m not using a Medtronic pump, is this event still relevant for me?
A. Most pumps have similar functions, which may have slightly different names. Given this we envisage the Medtronic session will still be useful for those with other makes of pumps.
Q. How big will the event be?
A. There are 60 tickets and they will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
Q. What are the seating arrangements?
A. You will be sat on tables of 8 to share your experience and pump know how with other attendees.
Q. What’s the best way of getting to the Edinburgh Training and Conference Venue?
A. The venue is centrally located –
Edinburgh Waverley Station – 6-minute walk
Edinburgh Bus Station – 16-minute walk
NCP Car Park, St Johns Hill, Edinburgh EH8 9UL – 3-minute walk – 3 – 4 hours of parking costs £13.
