Event Details

Come along to our Type 1 Discovery Day at Westlain House at the Falmer Campus of the University of Brighton.

We’re looking forward to welcoming Janet Allen from the artificial pancreas research project at the University of Cambridge. Janet will be telling us more about the work of the team, the trials they are running and the promising results.  We’ll aso be hearing from Mick Hobday, the ‘Cornflake Traveller’ who will be speaking about how he has not let type 1 stop him from travelling to some amazing places and experiencing incredible adventures and there will be a presentation from a group of talented type 1 teenagers with their thoughts about type 1.

And, because you’ve told us that meeting other families affected by type 1 is really important to you, we have organised some time for you to chat to other families and meet our staff.

All the presentations will be family friendly but for those small children who do not wish to listen to them, entertainment will be provided in a nearby room.

On this occasion, children do remain the responsibility of the parents.
