A science-based learning event with 3 presentations followed by questions after each, with a break for refreshments and for lunch. The presentations will look at events in the 1980s when u3a started life in the UK, what’s happening Today with a Call to Action and what might happen in the Future. The meeting will start at 10:30 (doors open at 10:15) and will end with a Plenary and Thanks session by 15:30 hours.

Presentations will be made on:

• Blowing Hot and Cold in the 1980s - John Marriage

• The Carbon Imperative - Mike Perry

• Human Colonisation of Space - Leigh Edward

The meeting will conclude with a Plenary session, addressing questions posted in Chat and with information about the October meeting.
