UCL Connect: Workshop - Resilience
Tuesday, 1 December 2015
UCL Quad Marquee, Gower Street Main Entrance
In today’s job market, resilience in the workplace is needed more than ever. As employees we experience frequent change in our work life – from new responsibilities and required skill development, to dealing with strategic shifts. All of this on top of our personal lives.
Being resilient is not about never experiencing uncertainty or stress but more about our ability to cope with this and rebound quickly.
This new workshop will be led by Robertson Cooper, a company which works to promote the benefits of employee wellbeing and helps businesses and public sector organisations to realise them.
In advance of attending the workshop all attendees are encouraged to complete an i-resilience report online. This personal report, which no one but you and the system will see, will be beneficial to all attendees, as the session will cover four key components users naturally draw on for resilience - confidence, adaptability, purposefulness and the need for social support. The report is free and you'll need to bring your own copy on the night, again, no one else attending will see this.
We look forward to seeing you in December.
All tickets include welcome drinks, the workshop and networking drinks/nibbles.
Ticket options - please ensure you are purchasing the correct ticket options (decriptions are listed below each option where relevant). Alumni and student records will be checked prior to UCL Connect events and incorrect purchases will be cancelled and subsquently refunded. We take this course of action as these events are popular and often sell out, so we need to ensure everyone who is eligible has the chance to book and attend.
An official photographer will be present at this event and attendees will automatically be displayed on the online attendee list. Images from the event will be available on request as well as being used in future publicity and hosted on UCL Alumni media channels.
